Departing from Kathmandu Valley, the journey unfolds over three exhilarating days, offering a blend of adventure and relaxation amidst the natural beauty of Sauraha.

Itinerary

Day 1: KATHMANDU-SAURAHA +

Departure from Kathmandu Valley early morning. Approx. 8hrs. drive from Kathmandu. Lunch will be provided during the travel. On arrival at Sauraha, transfer to your hotel. Guided tour to the traditional Tharu village, with a cultural show by Tharu people, featuring traditional dances. Afterwards, dinner and overstay at the hotel.

Day 2: Whole Day Jungle Activities in Chitwan National Park +

After breakfast, you will set off on a jungle walk with an experienced guide. The walk takes you through dense forests, grasslands, and riverside habitats. You will have the chance to spot a variety of wildlife, including deer, monkeys, wild boars, and various bird species. Your guide will also provide you with information about the park's ecology, conservation efforts, and the different animal and plant species you encounter.

After the jungle walk, you will embark on a canoe ride down the Rapti River. The river is home to crocodiles, otters, and various water birds. As you float down the river, you can observe the wildlife from a different perspective and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Day 3: Full Day Jungle Activities in Chitwan National Park +

After breakfast, you will head to the park's elephant stables, where you will meet your gentle giants for the day. The elephants are well-trained and cared for, and the safari is a unique opportunity to observe wildlife from a close distance.

During the safari, you will ride through grasslands and forests, looking for rhinos, tigers, and other animals. Your mahout (elephant handler) will also point out different bird species and provide you with interesting facts about them. The safari lasts for about three hours, and you will return to your hotel for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will go bird watching with a local expert. Chitwan National Park is home to over 500 species of birds, including several endangered species such as the Bengal florican and the lesser adjutant stork. Your guide will help you identify the different birds and provide you with information about their habits and habitat.

Day 4: SAURAHA-KATHMANDU +

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Departure from Sauraha to Kathmandu, where lunch arrangements will be made enroute. Drop-off at your hotel in Kathmandu upon arrival.

On Cancellation

  • 50% will be deducted once the bus tickets have been issued on your name confirmation.
  • 50% refund if cancellation is made before one week of departure.
  • No refund if cancellation is made within one week of departure.
